Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is successfully running SMS Based Automated Registration of Admission Test process since 2009. All you need is to send your H.S.C and S.S.C information from any Teletalk prepaid mobile phone. Your information will then be verified from the results collected from Education Boards. If you are eligible, you will get a confirmation SMS as a reply on your mobile phone. Finally, the application fee of admission test will be deducted from your prepaid account and you will be notified by an SMS after completing your registration procedure. It is very easy and simple. There is no hassle to fill-up any traditional application form. It will save your valuable time.

If a student wants to attend the examinations of both A and B units, he must register separately for both units. The sub-units have been formed in such a way that if a student register for one sub-unit, he is not allowed (as well as not necessary) to apply for another sub-unit of the same unit.
To apply from the admission test an applicant will have to send an SMS using a prepaid Teletalk connection. The SMS format has been stated bellow. If the applicant is eligible for the examination, application fee will be deducted from the prepaid connection and the applicant will be informed the Exam Roll of the admission test and an USER ID and PASSWORD that will be necessary to print the admit.

An applicant has to do the following in order to get a printout of his or her admit card:
Go to website: http://sust.teletalk.com.bd; then find the concerned unit and log in using the User ID and Password; then upload a below 100 KB color
photograph of 300×300 pixel. Once the photograph is uploaded, there is no room for change. Thereafter, for every unit students have to take 2 (two) copies
of color admit card printouts in A4 size paper. Students shall be informed of the deadline for admit card download through their mobile phone numbers via
SMS/SUST Admission Website
In case User ID and Password are lost then an SMS has to be sent to 16222 from any Teletalk number, which should be like this:

What an applicant should do on admission test day:
An applicant shall bring 2 (two) copies of admit card for each unit with them
An applicant may collect different information about admission test by sending an SMS to 6969 from any mobile phone by writing SUST and the following keywords:
DATE, FEES, EXAM SUB, REQDGPA, TOTAL SEAT, FORGOT ROLL AND HELP (example: SUST<space>DATE)

Exam Mode SUST:

Admission test will occur solely based on multiple choice questions (MCQ). For every wrong answer 0.20 numbers shall be cut off. OMR form has to be
filled out by black ink roller ball pen. Other than calculators of certain models, any electronic device including cell phones are totally forbidden
Foreign students or any Bangladeshi student studying abroad who won’t participate in admission test must have at least 800 SAT score to apply. For such
applicants, the deadline for application process is 4 November 2017. Detail information about it is available at www.sust.edu/admission website
Selection and Admission Process SUST:
For A and B units separate merit lists will be made. Out of total number in merit list, 70% will come out of the score achieved in admission test and the rest
30% from SSC/equivalent plus HSC/equivalent exam results. To be included in merit list, a candidate has to score at least 40% number all together. In case
of quota, the same rule applies
In order to glean score from the results of SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams, for regular students, the sum of the grades achieved in SSC/equivalent
plus HSC/equivalent exams will be multiplied by 3 while by 2.7 for the irregular
Applicants willing to enroll in architecture department have to score at least 40% in drawing and general knowledge in architecture exam
To enroll in English department, an applicant has to score at least 40% in English in admission test. To enroll in Economics department, students from
humanities and commerce group have to score at least 40% in general math in admission test
Results of admission test or any other information relating to it shall be posted on university notice board and in the website (www/sust.edu/admission).
Students may also collect information about the same by texting at 6969 from any mobile phone operator

An admitted shall have access to only one discipline in respect of merit order, subject-eligibility, personal choice, and availability of seats
 
During enrollment, an admittee must bring with him or her following: 4 copies of passport size color photographs, SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent
exams’ original mark sheets, testimonials, and the required money. An admitted must also bring two sets of photocopies of the certificates and mark sheets.
The original mark sheets of HSC/equivalent exam will be garnered or laid up after admission. Those seeking admission under reserved seats have to bring
original certificates supplied by the concerned authorities.
If any information supplied in admission test application is proved false, wrong, or incomplete then the application will be annulled straightaway. The same
shall occur if any information is proved false or wrong even after the enrollment is complete
In case of disable quota, considering the degree and mode of disability and in case of minority ethnic group/tribal/ Harijan-Dalit quota, accepting at least (one) from each ethnic group, judged from the standpoint of departments’ facilities, the seats shall be filled out as per the recommendation of the selection committee
